Custom Overmolded Wire Harness Manufacturing
Custom overmolded wire harness manufacturing — wires and connectors overmolded in one piece at the exit end for waterproof, dustproof and sealed joints, including waterproof and sensor overmolded harnesses. Contact us.

External device interfaces and sensor connections are constantly exposed to moisture, dust, bending and repeated plugging, leaving ordinary crimped joints vulnerable to water ingress and loosening. Overmolded harnesses wrap wires and connectors in one injection-molded jacket at the exit end, forming a continuous protective sleeve that improves sealing, waterproofing and bend resistance. Our custom overmolded harness manufacturing serves outdoor equipment, handheld products and electromechanical device makers, with tooling and production organized around connector shape, cable exit direction and protection requirements.
Main Harness Types
- Overmolded harness: custom harnesses made with one-piece overmolding, wrapping multiple wires and connectors in one injection molding at the exit end to improve joint protection and sealing, suited to internal and external device connections;
- Waterproof overmolded harness: fully overmolded at the connector-to-cable junction to improve waterproof and dustproof performance, suited to outdoor lights, handheld devices and electromechanical equipment in damp conditions;
- Sensor overmolded harness: injection-molded in one piece at the joint, connecting sensors to control units, sealed, waterproof and bend resistant, customized to the device interface.
Customization Process
We start with drawing and sample review to confirm interface definitions, cable exit direction, wire types and overmold structure, then build tooling and produce samples for confirmation before moving to overmolding, assembly, inspection and packaging. Overmold shape, wire length and branches can be adjusted to the device interface and machine space.
Quality and Delivery
Production follows a general quality-control flow: incoming material inspection, in-process checks during overmolding and crimping assembly, and final outgoing inspection, with joint sealing and continuity checked closely to ensure consistency and reliability. For outdoor and damp conditions, overmold fit, sealing and bend resistance receive special attention.
